Addressing joint alignment and discomfort
Bracing is used for a variety of orthopedic conditions to protect, stabilize and sometimes address abnormal joint alignment.
Bracing can be used for injury prevention or more commonly after an injury such as a sprained ankle. It can also be used to relieve osteoarthritic joints or after surgery.
Braces can be custom-fitted or purchased pre-fabricated. Our therapists may assess and prescribe a brace for a specific purpose, such as when foot drop develops. Custom knee bracing for cruciate ligament tears from sports such as soccer, skiing and football allow you to safely return to your sport.
Our clinics stock a range of commonly-used bracing items for conditions like tennis elbow, ankle instability and carpal tunnel syndrome. We are able to order in more specialized bracing products as needed.
